Black tea is the most common te
a you will find in the United States and Europe. Higher in caffeine than green tea, black teas provide the boost you might want without the strength of coffee. In addition, there are health benefits associated with the consumption of black tea. Flavonoids are found in black teas and have been proven to reduce clotting in arteries, thereby leading to a lower risk of a stroke! With sugar and milk, with honey, or just plain black, you can't go wrong with a cup of Earl Grey or English Breakfast!
Green tea has been all over the news for a few years now. It's not only low in caffeine, but also contains antioxidants, polyphenols, theanine, and other vitamins & minerals. Some types have even been shown to help fight off the flu and reduce the risk of cancer! But on top of that, it just tastes good!
Fruit & Herbal teas are naturally decaffeinated and great iced! Sometimes you might here a cup of herbal tea referred to as an herbal infusion. That's because herbal tea isn't really a tea!!! It's an infusion of herbs, but has no actual tea leaves. Some herbs are proven to have benefits: for example, chamomile is known for its ability to help people relax.
Red Tea is made from an indigenous herb from South Africa called rooibos (roy-bos). Not only is it tasty, it also has all kinds of health promoting properties. Full of polyphenols and flavonoids, red tea aids in protecting the body from free-radicals. It is also rich in antioxidants, low in tannin, and is caffeine-free!
We also carry flavored black teas. We have almost anything you can imagine. Some of our most popular flavors are Mountain Huckleberry, Morning Sunshine, Wild Blackberry, & Arctic Raspberry. Check out our selection!
